$20/HR About Us The Eye & Sight Center is a patient-focused eye care practice committed to providing exceptional clinical care and a welcoming experience for every patient. We are looking for a motivated, compassionate, and dependable Optometric/Ophthalmic Technician/ Receptionist to join our team and support our providers in delivering high-quality eye care. Position Overview In this role, you will be cross trained for receptionist and technician roles. This position will work closely with our doctors and clinical team to efficiently prepare patients for their examinations, perform diagnostic testing, document clinical information, and assist with various aspects of patient care. The ideal candidate is someone who is detail-oriented, personable, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced clinical environment. Excellent communication skills and a genuine desire to help patients are essential. Key Responsibilities Greet and prepare patients for their eye examinations Obtain and document accurate medical and ocular histories Perform preliminary testing and measurements Perform diagnostic testing, including visual acuity, tonometry, OCT, visual fields, fundus photography, and other testing as appropriate Administer eye drops and assist with dilation procedures as directed Assist physicians during comprehensive eye examinations and procedures Accurately document patient information and examination findings in the electronic medical record Educate patients regarding testing, procedures, medications, and follow-up care Maintain and prepare examination rooms and clinical equipment Ensure equipment is properly cleaned, maintained, and ready for patient use Assist with patient flow and communicate effectively with physicians and other members of the team Follow all practice policies, safety protocols, and HIPAA requirements Provide professional, compassionate, and courteous patient care at all times Perform additional clinical and administrative duties; such as checking patient insurances, answering patient phone calls, helping to schedule appointments, and assisting in the optical shop
Qualifications Required:
High school diploma or equivalent Strong communication and interpersonal skills Excellent attention to detail Ability to multitask and prioritize in a busy clinical environment Professional, dependable, and team-oriented attitude Comfortable working with patients of all ages and backgrounds Willingness to learn and take initiative
Preferred:
