As a vital member of our optical practice, you will deliver comprehensive patient support, assist with eye examinations, and ensure the highest standards of clinical confidentiality and patient satisfaction. This role offers an exciting opportunity to combine healthcare expertise with retail experience in a fast-paced, friendly environment dedicated to improving vision and enhancing lives. Paid positions are available for both entry-level and experienced candidates eager to grow their careers in optometry and vision care. Optometric Assistant / Technician -Technicians work directly with the optometrist to prepare patients for their examinations.
Core Responsibilities:
Perform preliminary eye tests (e.g., visual field testing, autorefractor, tonometry, OCT scans), record patient medical history, verify contact lens prescriptions, and sanitize examination rooms.
Skills Needed:
Strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and a foundational understanding of ocular anatomy. Optician - professionals who specialize in fitting and dispensing eyewear.
Core Responsibilities:
Help patients choose the best frames and lenses based on their prescription, lifestyle, and facial features. Take precise facial measurements (e.g., pupillary distance), verify that finished eyeglasses match the doctor's prescription, and adjust or repair frames.
Skills Needed:
Fashion and style consultation, technical knowledge of lens materials and coatings, and sales experience.
Receptionist / Front
Desk- The receptionist is the first point of contact for patients and sets the tone for the practice.
Core Responsibilities:
Answer phones, schedule and confirm appointments, verify vision and medical insurance benefits, collect copayments, and maintain electronic health records (EHR).
