Position Overview:

We are seeking a pleasant, dependable, and detail-oriented Ophthalmic Assistant/Technician to join our clinical team. This role is crucial in gathering accurate patient histories and supporting the smooth flow of clinic operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Greet and engage patients with warmth and empathy Obtain and document accurate medical, ocular, and family histories Assist with visual acuity testing and other diagnostic procedures (training provided) Enter information accurately and efficiently into EMR systems Communicate effectively with physicians, staff, and families Prepare exam rooms and maintain a clean, organized work environment Provide administrative support as needed

Qualifications:

Excellent typing and documentation skills Strong attention to detail Ophthalmology experience required A positive attitude and willingness to learn Empathy for patients and a sincere desire to help others Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented Spanish-speaking a plus
