Optometric Technician Job Summary Our optometry office is seeking an Optometric Technician to join our patient care team. In this role, your primary tasks are to take medical histories from patients, dilate their eyes and to take their eye pressures. Other duties include auto refractions, visual field testing and OCT testing. Pay will be based on experience. Optometric Technician Duties and Responsibilities Take medical histories and verify information Perform visual function and diagnostic tests, such as applanation tonometry Utilize tools such as visual field equipment and OCT Dilate eyes to prepare patients for their eye exam Optometric Technician Requirements and Qualifications High school diploma or GED certificate Experience with eye measurement tools and testing techniques Experience with EMR tools a plus Computer literacy
