OPHTHALMIC ASSISTANT / TECHNICIAN
WayMaker MedStaff is hiring a full-time Ophthalmic Assistant/Technician to support ophthalmology practice serving Canton and Canfield, Ohio.
Location:
Canton and Canfield, Ohio Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00
PM Pay:
up to $23 per hour Pay frequency: Weekly pay and a choice of daily pay Job type: Full-time, in-person
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Prepare patients for eye examinations and procedures Complete patient workups and document medical histories Check visual acuity, blood pressure, and intraocular pressure Administer dilating drops when appropriate Assist physicians during examinations and procedures Document information in the electronic health record Perform or assist with OCT, visual fields, ultrasonography, and other ophthalmic testing Prepare, clean, and stock examination rooms Help schedule appointments and respond to patient calls Support an efficient and positive patient experience Travel between Canton and Canfield locations when needed
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
High school diploma or equivalent Three to five years of medical-field experience Previous experience in a physician-office setting Ophthalmology or optometry experience strongly preferred CMA, COA, or COT certification preferred Experience with Tono-Pen, OCT, visual fields, or refractions is a plus Strong communication, computer, and documentation skills Dependable, organized, and able to multitask Reliable transportation Available Monday-Friday from 8:00 AM-5:00 PM
