Job Description
Job Summary Join our dynamic healthcare team as an Optometric Technician/Receptionist, where you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and ensuring smooth clinic operations. We are an Independent Optometric Practice located inside Costco(Deerfield/Mason), OH. Our hours are M-F 10:00am - 6:00pm ; Saturday's 9:30am-4:30pm . We are closed on Sunday's and All major holidays. Week day hours and days are flexible M-F , Saturday hours are set ./ •You will assist with patient intake, perform vital signs, operate ophthalmic diagnostic equipment, and support the clinical team in delivering comprehensive eye examinations. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will help create a welcoming atmosphere for every patient while maintaining the highest standards of confidentiality and professionalism. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly, verify insurance information, and gather accurate medical histories to facilitate efficient patient intake. Assist with ophthalmic examinations by operating diagnostic equipment including tonometers for intraocular pressure measurement, and ophthalmic imaging tools. Maintain strict adherence to clinical confidentiality policies and HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy at all times. Manage electronic health records (EHR/Epic systems), accurately documenting patient information, exam results, and medical history updates. Handle front desk duties including scheduling appointments, answering phone calls, processing payments, and managing medical records with efficiency and professionalism. Skills Part-time position(20-30hrs/week) that requires good communication skills, friendly and considerate individuals. The position requires basic knowledge of computer windows/word. Optical background is a Plus . We will instruct new employee in how to: Pretest patients , schedule appointments , as well as, informative training on how to process insurance authorizations and standard office maintenance. Our hours are M-F 10:00am - 6:00pm ; Saturday's 9:30am-4:30pm . We are closed on Sunday's and All major holidays. Week day hours and days are flexible M-F , Saturday hours are set ./ Position start at $15.00/hour (higher depending on experience) with pay raises and PTO after 90 days.
