This role involves supporting ophthalmologists by conducting diagnostic tests, maintaining ophthalmic instruments, and providing excellent patient care. The ideal candidate will have a knack for precision and a passion for improving patient vision and health. Responsibilities Prepare patients for examination by performing preliminary tests and procedures, such as vision assessment, eye pressure measurement, and lensometry Administer or prepare medications as prescribed by the ophthalmologist Maintain ophthalmic instruments and equipment, ensuring all are clean and in proper working order Assist in minor ophthalmic procedures Educate and advise patients on contact lens management, care, and visual hygiene Record patient medical histories and update electronic medical records Coordinate with other healthcare teams to provide quality patient care Required Skills Proficient in using ophthalmic equipment and tools Strong understanding of ocular physiology and optics Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities Ability to manage time effectively and adapt to fast-paced environments
