We are hiring an Ophthalmic Technician I to join our team. This is a hands-on role in a busy retina specialty practice where you will work closely with physicians and the clinical team to support patient visits and help create a smooth, supportive experience from start to finish. It can be a strong fit for someone with healthcare or patient-facing experience, and also for someone ready to learn in the role. What Youll Do As an Ophthalmic Technician I, you will support physicians and the clinical team in caring for patients with retinal and vitreous conditions. You will help prepare patients for visits, perform testing and imaging, support procedures, document visits, and help keep clinic flow moving.
Key responsibilities include:
Greet and prepare patients for their visitCollect medical history, medications, allergies, and other relevant informationPerform screening tests and measurementsAssist with OCT imaging and other assigned diagnostic testingSupport injection preparation, room setup, and patient positioningDocument information accurately in the medical recordHelp maintain clinic flow, room turnover, and follow-up tasksAssist with front desk responsibilities as neededKeep exam rooms and clinical areas clean, organized, and stockedTravel between clinic locations to support patient care
