Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Optometric Technician to join our team in Carbondale, PA. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care within our practice. This position involves assisting the optometrist in various clinical tasks, managing patient flow, and ensuring a smooth operation of the clinic. The Optometric Technician will also engage with patients in a friendly manner, contributing to a positive experience during their visits. We provide full on-the-job training. Experience in a medical or optometry setting is a plus, but not required. Responsibilities Assist optometrists during eye examinations by preparing patients and equipment. Conduct preliminary tests, including visual acuity, color vision, and eye pressure measurements. Maintain accurate patient records using electronic health record systems. Educate patients on contact lens insertion, removal, and care Ensure the clinic environment adheres to aseptic techniques and cleanliness standards. Requirements Previous experience in a medical office or clinic setting is preferred but not required. Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on patient engagement and education. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
