This position combines patient interaction, clinical support, and optical expertise to ensure our patients receive comprehensive, compassionate care. You will assist with patient intake, administer special testing on advanced medical equipment, and help patients select and fit eyewear. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to grow your skills in medical office operations and optical sales. Duties Greet patients, verify their information, and facilitate smooth patient intake processes. Perform pre-exam testing including taking patient histories and visual acuities to assist in accurate diagnosis and treatment planning. Preform special testing on patients using some of the newest and most advanced optical equipment. Assist patients in selecting eyewear by providing optical advice, measuring pupillary distance, and fitting glasses. Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment by following aseptic techniques and infection control protocols. Support front desk operations including scheduling appointments, answering phones, processing insurance information, and managing retail sales of eyewear products. Utilize retail math skills to assist with inventory management and sales transactions for optical products. Qualifications Willing to train the right candidate, but previous experience in a medical or optical environment is preferred. Familiarity with EMR systems and medical records management is a plus. Demonstrated patient care skills with a compassionate approach to diverse patient populations including pediatrics. Excellent communication skills for front desk duties, patient education, and team collaboration.
