7:30 am-5:30 pm We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Ophthalmic Technician to join our ophthalmology team. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, patient-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced clinical environment. Retina experience is a plus , but we are also interested in candidates with strong ophthalmic technician experience who are eager to expand their skills. Responsibilities Obtain accurate and thorough patient histories and document chief complaints. Perform preliminary and diagnostic testing, including visual acuity, tonometry, OCT, fundus photography, and other testing as appropriate. Prepare patients for examination and assist physician with in-office procedures. Administer ophthalmic medications and dilating drops as directed. Perform accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record. Assist with patient education regarding diagnoses, testing, treatment plans, and follow-up care. Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient clinical environment. Provide excellent customer service and compassionate patient care. Follow all clinical, safety, and HIPAA protocols. Retina Experience — A Plus Experience in a retina practice is highly desirable. Familiarity with OCT, fundus photography, fluorescein angiography, intravitreal injection preparation, and retina-specific diagnostic testing is a strong plus. Qualifications Previous ophthalmic technician experience preferred. Retina experience is a plus. COA certification preferred but not required. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively as part of a physician-led clinical team. Comfortable learning new technology, equipment, and clinical procedures.
