Job Description

The ophthalmic technician contributes to Fava & Maria Eye Associates' mission of maintaining our status as the gold-standard in ophthalmic medicine by providing excellent patient care. The ophthalmic technician will perform a wide range of duties to assist our practice's experienced physicians. The ophthalmic technician will work directly with patients to gather as much information about the patient's problems or diagnoses. As an ophthalmic technician, you will develop an advanced understanding of ophthalmic diagnostic screening, testing, and equipment. An individual in this position should be detail oriented with strong time management skills.
Key Job Responsibilities:
Preparing patients for doctors by gathering pertinent information Assisting the doctors with comprehensive eye examinations Conducting patient screening and testing Assisting the doctors with minor procedures Educating patients on their diagnoses and/or treatment plans Conducting various diagnostic tests according to the doctors' instructions Documenting accurate patient information in the practice's electronic medical records system The ideal candidate should have the following qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent Ophthalmology experience a plus Excellent interpersonal skills Proficient with technology and computers Excellent time management and teamwork skills About us and location: At Fava and Maria Eye Associates, we care about the people who trust us with their medical and surgical eye care. Schedule:
Full-time and Part-time available Day shift: Monday through Friday No late nights No weekend hours
