Our team is focused on exceptional and compassionate patient care. We are currently searching for a certified ophthalmic scribe/technician. Responsibilities Document physician-patient encounters in real time using Nextech EMR. Accurately record the patient's history of present illness (HPI), examination findings, assessments, treatment plans, and diagnostic interpretations. Prepare and review patient charts prior to physician examination. Ensure timely, accurate, and complete medical documentation. Maintain HIPAA and MIPS compliance and documentation standards. Collaborate with physicians, technicians, and front office staff to promote efficient patient flow. Perform diagnostic testing to facilitate patient workups before and during patient encounters, as directed. Assist physicians with in-office procedures and treatments. Adapt quickly to physician preferences and changing clinic needs with minimal supervision. Assist in the training of new staff Perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications Previous ophthalmic scribing experience required. Knowledge of ophthalmic terminology. Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Excellent written, verbal, organizational, and communication skills. Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented. Flexible and willing to assist in various areas of the practice. Outstanding interpersonal and patient-facing skills. Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities while maintaining excellent patient care. Comfortable using computers and able to quickly learn new software applications. Candidate must have a positive attitude and be willing to work as part of a team. Great benefits.
