Our ophthalmic technicians serve as ophthalmologist and Optometrist-extenders that help us fulfill our mission to provide the very best care and experience for our patients. The ophthalmic technician's primary responsibilities: Obtaining basic medical history and documenting a chief complaint Measuring each patient's visual acuity, pupil, muscles, motility, and confrontational fields Administering a wide array of diagnostic tests to determine the structure and function of each patient's eye. To include but not limited to: Refraction (manual in minus cylinder), OCT's, VF's, Pentacam, Optomaping, Tonometry, and IOL Calculations. Processing refill request, submitting PAs, triaging phone calls, taking Contact lens orders, and other clinic tasks depending on clinic need. Assist during eye procedures and eye surgeries Scribing experience is preferred, but training can be provided. We're looking for a team player who prides themselves in how they treat their team members and the patients they work with. Experience with Nextech P+ and Pro and Weave a plus!
