Job Description

Berkeley Eye Center, a Texas Vision Care leader for almost 60 years seeks dynamic individual to introduce and educate patients about the life-changing procedure of Refractive Eye surgery in our Corpus Christi office. Qualified candidates will be accustomed to engaging and taking the lead with all types of people, a background in elective surgery, education or public relations is a plus. Must have fantastic attention to detail to insure that patients have been given the information they need to make the best decision regarding this surgical procedure. Complete Training is provided to allow you to have confidence in representing the procedure and Berkeley Eye Center as accurately and clearly as possible.
Responsibilities of the position include:
Counseling potential patients about the Refractive procedures. Performing preliminary testing to help determine if they are a candidate for the procedure Assisting in clinic with Lasik evaluations and Lasik post ops. Assisting in the surgical day by providing pre-operative and post-operative instructions and care. Provide candidates with financial information including various payment options for both LASIK and Refractive Surgery. Back-Up Cataract Surgery Coordination including insurance verification. Will be trained to do Refractive Evaluations. Community Outreach including health fairs, Chamber of Commerce Activities Cross Train to help cover other areas during vacations or unexpected absences. Normally Monday-Friday Schedule. No late nights. Once a month Saturday post-op assistance. (Typically less than two hours of work).Positive work atmosphere as you help people change the way they see the world.
