Job Summary Join our dynamic healthcare team as an Ophthalmic Technician, where your expertise will directly enhance patient eye care experiences. In this vital role, you will assist ophthalmologists with patient examinations, perform diagnostic tests, and support clinical operations to ensure smooth and efficient service delivery. Your keen attention to detail will help facilitate accurate diagnoses and treatment plans. Duties Prepare patients for eye examinations by explaining procedures and ensuring comfort throughout the process Conduct diagnostic tests such as visual acuity assessments, intraocular pressure measurements, and slit-lamp examinations using specialized ophthalmic equipment Assist ophthalmologists during exams by adjusting equipment and providing necessary support for accurate assessments Manage and update electronic medical records (EMR systems), ensuring all patient data is accurate, complete, and compliant with HIPAA regulations Educate patients on eye health, treatment options, and post-examination care instructions Maintain ophthalmic instruments through proper cleaning, calibration, and troubleshooting to ensure optimal performance Support clinic operations by performing pre-testing functions such as Topography, Icare, OCT, and IOL Calculations
