Job Description

We are a 4 doctor private Optometric practice. We are looking for a new member to join our team as an Optometric Technician. We pride ourselves on an exceptional patient experience. We are in need of someone who is a self motivated team player who works efficiently, manages time well, and considers themselves a "people person".
JOB SUMMARY
Reports directly to the Optometrists and responsible for conducting pre-testing and special testing, as well as perform the following duties: Process patient's information through the computer system from appointment intake through accurate recording of preliminary data into each patient's health record. Manage patient flow by effectively communicating with team members and doctors. Conducts preliminary testing (auto refraction, lensometry, tonometry) as well as special testing, as needed (visual fields, Optomap photography, specular microscopy, OCT). Conducts inventory of supplies in the exam rooms. Disinfects and wipes down all equipment and instruments.
QUALIFICATIONS
High School Graduate, some college appreciated, but not necessary. Outstanding oral and written communication skills. Quick learner to new computer programs.
WORK HOURS
Our practice is open: Monday 9a-6p, Tuesday 9a-5p, Wednesday 9a-5p, Thursday 9a-6p, Friday 9a-5p and Saturday 9a-2p. Saturday availability is required (but will not be required to work every Saturday).
