Job Description

We are looking for a full-time Ophthalmic Technician for our practice. The ideal technician would be dependable and energetic with a positive attitude and a passion for caring for others. Ophthalmology experience is a plus! Candidate must be willing to travel to our locations in North Fort Worth, North Arlington, and Plano . We are looking for individuals that want a stable career. Job responsibilities During clinic, perform patient work-up including the 12-points eye exam Scribe for doctor, if needed Perform ophthalmic testing (vision, manual refraction, pressure) Maintaining, calibrating, cleaning and sterilizing ophthalmic equipment Monitor inventory of supplies and restock as necessary Properly operate common non-automated and automated ophthalmic equipment Ensure quality of care and safety of patients Properly assist physically and visually impaired patients Assist in administrative duties Opening the clinic prior to patient workup Work up patients within the required timeframe Accept other duties assigned Qualified applicants will exhibit the following: At least 1 year in Cornea/Cataract is a plus, willing to train the right candidate. NextGen EMR Experience Proficient in computer skills: Word, Outlook, can work PC/mouse Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
