Optometric Technician La Porte Vision Center La Porte, TX Job Details Full-time $15 - $21 an hour 1 day ago Benefits Health insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Employee discount Professional development assistance Qualifications Spanish Client rapport building Cutting Ophthalmology Patient care Patient interaction Full Job Description This well established, family-oriented Optometric practice seeks a happy, self-motivated Optometric Technician to continue our practice growth and community service We love what we do and are looking for a Team member that feels enthusiastic about eye care and disease and helping people by helping the Doctors detect problems with their eyes via advanced instruments. We're looking for an Optometric Tech who is experienced and proficient in working up patients using common eye-clinic instruments. They must also share a willingness to cross-train and be multi-faceted to facilitate office flow and efficiency. We have a a small percentage of Hispanic patients that only speak Spanish, so being bilingual is a definite plus. You must be a personality that makes people feel comfortable and confident about your skills, opinions and recommendations. Experience in handling an Optical is a definite asset: This experience includes frame-styling, ordering and maintaining frame inventories, ordering lenses, contact lenses orders and cutting lenses. We are well established (over 50 years old!) and have a very loyal patient base. Much of our staff has also been with us for decades! We take care of our people. We also offer a family-friendly work schedule where we finish on Fridays by 2pm and we do not work on Saturdays or Sundays Salary will be discussed at interview and will depend on experience
