About the Optometric Technician We are looking for a personable, friendly, and energetic person to join our team. You will be the first impression for our patients and customers, and will be responsible for greeting each and every individual kindly and courteously. About the Practice You will be working with a fantastic team including 1-2 optometrists, and 2-3 staff members. We only schedule 12 appointments per day and treat patients ranging from pediatrics to geriatrics and everything in between. Our doctors are all the best in the area, and we thrive off of the positive experience that each patient has: From the interaction at the front desk when they first walk in the door, to the time they spend in the exam chair, and then seeing you for all of their optical needs. Optometric Technician Responsibilities

• Performs preliminary testing on patients prior to seeing the doctor
• Gathers medical history on patients
• Teaches contact lens insertion and removal and proper contact lens hygiene
• Scheduling appointments
• Verifying insurance plans
• Greeting patients and customers
• Keep contact lens inventory stocked
• Submitting insurance claims
• Maintaining a clean and organized work environment
