Full Job Description Job Summary:
West Texas Retina Consultants (Ophthalmology Specialists of Texas, PLLC) is looking for a full time Ophthalmic Tech to join our team. The Ophthalmic Tech must exemplify outstanding customer service while supporting ophthalmic clinic duties.
Job Duties and Requirements :
Must be able to travel on daily basis to clinics Screen patients Perform OCT within six (6) months Perform FA within twelve (12) to fifteen (15) months Effectively communicate and explain procedures to patients Prepare for procedures and documentation Complete patient paper work (forms, insurance, letters, etc.) Assess charts for completion and compliance before filing Maintain patient confidentiality Return patient phone calls Refer situations beyond ability to proper person Maintain exam rooms (cleaning, stocking) Assist with housekeeping of clinic Maintain travel equipment Ability to work independently and have strong organizational and time management skills Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills Ability to work under pressure Dependable Exercises safe judgment in decision making Demonstrates tact and understanding when dealing with patients, team members, members of other disciplines, and the public Practices with ethical and legal guidelines Must possess honesty, integrity, and accountability Accept direction from supervisor and adheres to established routines Filling in where ever needed Team player and participates with others to accomplish tasks Makes a positive contribution to morale Seek educational opportunities and accepts responsibility for own professional growth and development Other duties as assigned

High School graduate or
Equivalent Experience:
Experience in
Ophthalmology Field Required Certifications :
MA, COA, and/or
