This position combines patient care, clinical pre-testing, optical support, and front-office responsibilities. Responsibilities Patient-facing:

Greeting patients, answering phones, scheduling appointments, and insurance verification.

Clinical pre-testing:

visual acuity, retinal imaging, and other preliminary eye tests.

Optical:

helping patients choose frames, explaining lenses, and providing contact-lens-care guidance.

Administrative:

EMR documentation, billing/coding, and inventory management. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Professional, friendly, and patient-focused demeanor. Basic computer skills and ability to learn electronic medical record systems. Previous experience with Crystal PM or another EMR system is a plus. Optical, medical-office, or eye-care experience is preferred but not required. Certified Optometric Assistant (COA) or Certified Ophthalmic Technician/Optometric Technician (COT) certification is a plus, but not required.

Pay:

$15.00 - $25.00 per hour Expected hours: 32.0 - 40.0 per week
