Job Description

We're looking for a bilingual, friendly, reliable, motivated, hard working individual for a growing optometry office. We use electronic medical records, therefore, excellent computer literacy is a must! Prefer a working knowledge of the medical and vision insurance billing & coding. However training will be provided in this area. Serious inquires only.
Responsibilities include:
greeting patients, answering phones, scheduling appointments, collecting medical history from patients, entering/updating data in electronic health record, pre-testing patients on various instruments in office, scribing for the Doctor. Additionally verifying insurance benefits, checking-patients in/out and collecting co-payments. Qualities we are looking for in staff: Ability to communicate effectively over the phone and in person Bilingual is preferred Experience in customer service for 1 year (preferably in health care environment) Must have proficient computer skills/typing 30 wpm minimum. Team player Professional, approachable, well-mannered. Dependable and punctual.
Ability to multi-task Business hours:
M-F 9-6 (hours will vary on occasion) Sat 9-4 (willing to work all weekends)
