In this role, you will support the optometric staff in providing exceptional patient care within a clinical setting. Your responsibilities will include assisting with patient examinations, maintaining a sterile environment, and ensuring the smooth operation of the clinic. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of medical terminology and anatomy, along with excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients. Duties Assist optometrists during patient examinations by preparing necessary equipment and instruments. Perform preliminary tests such as visual acuity assessments and eye pressure measurements. Maintain aseptic technique to ensure a clean and safe environment for patients. Document patient information accurately in electronic health records, including medical coding as required. Educate patients on proper eye care practices Manage front desk operations, including scheduling appointments and handling patient inquiries. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient clinic operations and high-quality patient care. Qualifications Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology is essential. Experience or familiarity with ophthalmology practices is highly desirable. Aseptic technique training or certification is preferred.
