Small, but busy private practice is looking for a qualified and personable optometric technician and/or receptionist. This is a wonderful, full-time position with no evening hours or weekends! Quality care for our patients is our top priority! An exceptional candidate would have prior experience in this field, but is not necessary as training is provided. A friendly personality and professional demeanor would fit in perfectly with our outstanding staff. Day-to-day activities for a technician include working up patients for the doctor by completing all pretests, screening fields and diagnostic testing, as well as getting a clear medical history from the patients, helping teach and instruct patients about contact lens care, etc. Computer skills are essential as our office runs on electronic health records. Good problem-solving skills come in handy. Primary duties for reception include answering phones, scheduling patient appointments, checking patients into our practice management and electronic medical records system, making sure all insurance authorizations are pulled for all patients. Helping in other areas as needed. Please send all resumes via email if this sounds like a good fit for you! Pay is flexible based on experience. Full time is Monday - Friday.
