An Ophthalmic Technician makes prescription eyeglasses and contact lenses by cutting and shaping lenses according to individual prescriptions. May make lenses for other optical equipment, such as telescopes or microscopes. Works in medical equipment manufacturing facilities and laboratories, retail stores, or in the offices of optometrists and physicians.

Job Description

Personable, organized, and highly motivated individual needed to handle a variety of duties for a busy neurology / neuro-ophthalmology practice. This position is an excellent opportunity for a results-oriented individual to shine. Applicants must be willing to cross-train, flex between, and prioritize a wide variety of responsibilities.
Job description includes:
receptionist duties, medical record management, patient care coordination, scheduling outpatient procedures and testing, and ophthalmic assistant responsibilities. Candidate must be able to perform visual fields, OCTs, and OPTOS and have strong communication skills and understanding of basic medical terminology. One doctor, one location, no weekends, no travel. Benefits include health insurance, 401K, profit sharing, paid vacation and sick leave, uniform allowance, professional development, and employee discounts for the right candidate. Full-time Monday-Friday. 8:30am-5:30/6:00pm . Compensation is hourly based on experience.
