The duties of our optometric technicians include: Assisting doctor in providing routine and medical eye care. Utilizing EHR system to accurately record medical history, test results, and chief complaint. Administering pre-tests and specialty tests including Auto Refraction, Optos, Visual Acuity, Visual Field Test, and Intraocular Pressure. Providing training to patients on contact lens insertion and removal. Ordering and dispensing contact lenses. Working with the doctors and other staff to ensure a consistent and efficient patient flow. Communicating with patients and other doctor's offices on behalf of the doctor. At least one year of optometric technician or medical assistant experience is required. Previous experience with EHR/EMR, specialty testing equipment, and direct patient care are also helpful. Training will be provided to bridge any gaps in knowledge.

Full-time Starting salary: $16 - $20 per hour depending on experience
