Our practice continues to grow and we are seeking to hire a full-time Ophthalmic Assistant / Technician to assist our existing team! As an Ophthalmic Assistant / Technician you will be responsible for providing care to our patients. This includes completing patient work-ups, collecting patient history and chief complaint, checking visual acuity, and charting. The technician is responsible for diagnostic testing including that includes Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT), B-scans, and Fundus photography. Technicians also provide support services to our physicians and perform clinical duties required to most effectively handle the day-to-day functioning of their practices including restocking and cleaning of exam rooms and telephone triage to assess urgent versus emergent needs of the patients. On a rare occasion, this position may require travelling as you may be scheduled to work in our Seattle or Bellevue location. When travelling, driving allowances and toll fees are paid. Staffing schedules are prepared a month in advance.

QUALIFICATIONS

We prefer a minimum of 1-year as an Ophthalmic Assistant/Technician and experience in retina will be a competitive advantage, but not required. Required skills include the ability to be proactive, team-oriented, self-starter, excellent communication skills, patience, empathy and ability to multi-task and work in a busy environment are highly desirable skills.
