We are currently looking to hire for full time position in our Puyallup office location. This would be a primary position for a technician, helping getting a patient ready to see the doctor, IE tonometry, autorefraction, retinal images, special testing, etc... Current employees are long term employees and we would like to add another long term member to our team who is willing to be cross trained. Experience in optometry or ophthalmology and/or optometric/ophthalmic certification/license will significantly help.

Responsibilities include:

• Explaining the testing process to patients, preparing them, and administering tests on visual capabilities.
• Contact lens wear training
• Perform a variety of tasks that support an optometrist such as depth perception, peripheral vision, glaucoma, eye pressure, etc.

Requirements:

• Good computer, phone, and keyboard skills
• Self-directed, with strong organizational and time management skills
• Energetic, positive personality; experience in working well with a team & the public
