This part-time to full-time position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in gaining valuable healthcare experience, fulfilling patient contact hour requirements, or building a rewarding career helping others. As a member of our team, you will develop hands-on experience in patient care, electronic health records (EHR), and medical insurance coding and billing while working in a supportive, collaborative environment. Our office is open five days per week. Responsibilities Collect and accurately document patients' medical and ocular histories in the electronic medical record (EMR). Perform and record a variety of diagnostic tests. Educate patients on the proper use and care of contact lenses. Schedule appointments, check patients in and out, and verify insurance eligibility and coverage. Assist patients with selecting eyewear, adjust and repair frames, and provide exceptional optical service. Deliver outstanding customer service while ensuring a positive patient experience. Qualifications Previous optician or healthcare experience is welcome but not required ; comprehensive training will be provided. Comfortable using computers and learning electronic health record systems. Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a friendly, patient-centered approach. Excellent organizational and time-management skills. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment while maintaining attention to detail.
