Job Summary We are seeking a friendly and helpful person to be trained as a medical assistant: Yes, we provide ALL training! The job entails greeting patients, putting their information into a computer, performing testing on their eyes, and then turning them over to the doctor for eye exams. The medical assistant will work closely with both patients and healthcare professionals to ensure optimal vision care. This role is a fun balance of technical work, people skills, and computer usage, working with people of all ages in a positive work environment! Responsibilities Accurately perform tasks with medical instruments (all training provided!). Manage patient records, including medical history and prescriptions, ensuring accuracy in the medical records system. Collaborate with eye doctors in office to provide comprehensive patient care. Educate patients on proper contact lens care. Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, processing orders, and managing inventory levels. Ensure compliance with health regulations and maintain a clean, organized workspace. Hours are:
- Mondays from 8:00
- 1:30
- Tuesdays from 7:30
- 4:30
- Wednesdays from 8:00
- 4:30
- Every THIRD Saturday from 7:45
- 12:00 Noon
- Other hours as needed (when a team member goes on vacation)
- Flexibility is a must!
This is a
PART TIME
job, with approximately 20 hours per week, however occasionally when team members take vacation you may be asked to go to 40 hours per week (approximately twice per year), so flexibility is necessary!
