Davis Eye Associates, in Fayetteville, AR, is seeking an experienced Dispensing Optician or an Apprentice Optician to join our optical team in Arkansas. This position is ideal for someone interested in building a long-term career in opticianry. Accurately interpret and dispense eyewear prescriptions from optometrists and ophthalmologists.

Responsibilities include:

Maintain and organize the optical frame board, monitor inventory, and coordinate with frame vendors regarding products, orders, and displays. Assist patients in selecting frames and lens options based on prescription requirements, lifestyle needs, and personal preferences. Take and verify precise optical measurements, including pupillary distance (PD), segment height, and fitting measurements. Perform eyewear adjustments, repairs, troubleshooting, and quality checks to ensure proper fit, comfort, and function. Educate patients on lens materials, treatments, coatings, care, and maintenance to support informed purchasing decisions. Ensure compliance with Arkansas State Board of Dispensing Opticians regulations and applicable optical industry standards. Provide professional, patient-focused customer service throughout the eyewear selection, dispensing, and fitting process. Collaborate with optometrists, ophthalmologists, and optical team members to ensure accurate and efficient patient care. Candidates must possess excellent retail optical skills, be exceptional communicators, and love interacting with people. Experience in medical billing, more specifically vision billing, is helpful but

The ideal candidate will be dependable, have a positive attitude, and be willing to learn new things. Our clinic's staff is involved in every aspect of patient care and optical sales from check in to check out. Candidates must be available to work some Saturdays from 9 am to 1 pm.

We offer competitive pay and are willing to train the perfect candidate, but experience in optical is necessary.
