Job Description

Overview If you love helping people, this is a great opportunity for you. We are looking for an energetic individual to join our amazing Optical team, working with a wide range of clients across both of our clinics.

In this vital role, you will assist licensed optometrists by helping clients select the frames and lenses that best fit their needs and desires. Your attention to detail will help create a welcoming environment for patients of all ages, including pediatric and senior populations.

Duties Assist patients in choosing appropriate eyewear based on their prescriptions, lifestyle needs, and personal preferences Conduct preliminary eye exams, including measuring visual acuity, and assessing vital signs relevant to eye health Support optometrists and clinic staff with laboratory procedures, including lens fitting and frame adjustments Maintain a clean and sterile environment by following aseptic techniques during optical procedures and handling medical supplies Manage retail sales of eyewear products, including inventory management, retail math calculations, and customer service Educate patients on proper eyewear care, medical terminology related to eye health, and the importance of regular eye exams Qualifications Bilingual is a must Positive enthusiastic attitude Basic understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality and data security Ability to communicate effectively with diverse patient populations including pediatrics and senior care clients Knowledge of medical coding and medical billing processes services is advantageous but not necessary Retail management skills including retail sales techniques, retail math proficiency, and customer service excellence Embark on a rewarding career where your skills make a real difference!
