We're looking for a cheerful, detail-oriented Junior Optician who is eager to learn optical and front-desk work under the guidance of our experienced team. This is a great entry point into the optical field for someone who loves working with people and wants to grow into a full optician role. Key Responsibilities Optical Duties (with training and supervision): Assist patients in choosing eyewear based on prescription, lifestyle, and style Learn to interpret prescriptions and take measurements (PD, OC height, frame fit) under guidance Assist with basic adjustments and minor repairs of eyewear for comfort and fit Learn to educate patients on lenses, coatings, and proper eyewear care Help place and track orders with optical labs Help maintain frame displays and assist with inventory

Reception Duties:

Greet every patient warmly and make them feel at home Answer calls and respond to questions about appointments, services, and products Schedule, confirm, and manage appointments using office software Assist with verifying vision insurance and basic billing tasks Collect payments and help maintain accurate patient records Keep the front desk organized, clean, and welcoming What We're Looking For A cheerful, kind, and helpful disposition — someone who truly enjoys connecting with people High school diploma or equivalent (required) No prior optical experience required — we will train the right person Proficient in Google Suite and computers in general Some experience in retail, customer service, or a medical front desk is a plus Willingness to learn vision insurance and billing basics Strong multitasking and communication skills Comfort with computer systems and office tools Eagerness to grow into a full Optician role over time Bonus Points Currently pursuing or interested in ABO and/or NCLE certification Prior exposure to EHR software Passion for customer care, eyewear, or small business culture Work Environment We're a small, collaborative team that supports each other and loves what we do. This role involves standing, patient interaction, and hands-on training in optical work, with mentorship from our experienced opticians.

Pay:
