Job Overview:

We are a small, close-knit private optometry practice that's been proudly serving our community for over 10 years . Our approach is simple and sincere — we ask every patient, "How can we help?" and mean it. Whether it's selecting the perfect pair of glasses or just making someone's day a little easier, we strive to treat every person like a close friend or family member. We're looking for a cheerful, detail-oriented Optician who can thrive in both optical and front desk responsibilities, and help us deliver the warm, personalized care our patients have come to love.

Key Responsibilities:

Optical Duties:

Guide patients in choosing eyewear based on prescription, lifestyle, and style Interpret prescriptions and take precise measurements (PD, OC height, frame fit) Fit, adjust, and repair eyewear for comfort and vision accuracy Educate patients on lenses, coatings, and proper care Place and track orders with optical labs Help maintain frame displays and manage inventory

Reception Duties:

Greet every patient warmly and make them feel at home Answer calls and respond to questions about appointments, services, and products Schedule, confirm, and manage appointments using office software Verify vision insurance and assist with billing or claims Collect payments and maintain accurate patient records Keep the front desk organized, clean, and welcoming

What We're Looking For:

A cheerful, kind, and helpful disposition — someone who truly enjoys connecting with people High school diploma or equivalent (required) Previous experience in optical sales or medical front desk (preferred) Familiarity with vision insurance and billing basics Strong multitasking and communication skills Comfort with computer systems and office tools

Bonus Points:

ABO and/or NCLE certification Experience with EHR software Passion for customer care, eyewear, or small business culture

We're a small, collaborative team that supports each other and loves what we do. This role involves standing, patient interaction, and hands-on optical work.

Pay:

$25.00 - $28.00 per hour
