SALT. Optics Seeking Opticians/Optical Sales Professionals for Los Angeles Flagship Store

To learn more about our brand, please visit saltoptics.com. We are currently seeking opticians and optical sales professionals for our retail flagship in Studio City, CA. The ideal candidate will possess a working knowledge of basic eyewear principles, a passion for providing excellent guest experiences on a consistent basis, and, ideally, professional certification/licensure as an optician in CA (we will train the right candidate for state certification).

Day to day responsibilities include:

• Opening/closing duties in the retail space
• Educating customers/patients on the SALT. Optics brand
• Placing orders for prescription glasses/sunglasses
• Manage appointments and appointment reminders, checking in/out patients, checking insurance eligibility.
• Assist patients with frame selections and lenses that are best suit for their lifestyle, Rx and price needs.
• Dispense eyewear and troubleshoot issues.
• Ensure a clean and tidy presentation of the space by cleaning product and dusting store shelving, fixtures etc.
• General FOH and BOH duties

Ideal Qualifications:

• 3-5 years experience in a premium retail environment, preferably in the optical industry
• ABO certification and/or a Spectacle Lens Dispenser License under the state of CA (will train the right candidate for ABO certification)
• An acute attention to detail
• Flexible availability on weekends and evenings
• Punctuality and time management skills
• Excellent written/verbal communication skills
• Flexible availability to include weekends
• A passion for working together as a team
