Our team is dedicated to providing personalized, high-quality eye care and exceptional service to our local community. Unlike high-volume retail chains, we value patient relationships and take the time to deliver a tailored experience. We are looking for an experienced, reliable, and customer-focused Optician to join our tight-knit team on either a full-time or part-time basis. What You Will Do As an Optician in our practice, you will handle a mix of optical styling, lab management, and front-desk support.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

Optical Styling & Selection:

Guide patients through frame styling and customized lens selections based on their lifestyle, prescription, and aesthetic preferences.

Measurements & Fittings:

Take precise ophthalmic measurements (PD, segment height, etc.) to ensure accurate lens fabrication.

Insurance Verification & Billing:

Break down vision benefits clearly for patients and process authorizations and claims, with a heavy emphasis on VSP insurance .

Lab & Order Management:

Manage tracking, ordering, and quality verification of jobs to and from optical laboratories.

Patient Communication:

Manage incoming and outgoing phone calls and emails, answering patient inquiries with a professional and friendly demeanor.

Scheduling & Administrative Support:

Schedule patient appointments and manage electronic health records using RevolutionEHR .

Office Upkeep:

Help maintain a clean and welcoming environment with light cleaning and frame styling adjustments in the dispensary.

What We Are Looking For Experience:

Minimum of 3 years of experience working as an Optician.

Insurance Expertise:

Strong, proven proficiency with VSP billing and authorizations is required.

Software Skills:

Hands-on experience working with RevolutionEHR is highly preferred.

Languages:

English and Spanish bilingual proficiency is highly preferred to best serve our diverse patient base.
