POSITION PURPOSE
This position is engaged in performing routine administrative and clinical tasks to keep EVCHC's optometry operations running smoothly. The Optometric Technician works closely with Optometrist to support the maintenance and delivery of excellent and quality patient care services.MAJOR POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES AND FUNCTIONS
Temporary assignment 3 months. Greet patient in a professional and pleasant manner. Obtain and document patient history. Perform pre-exam tests, including A/R, color testing, VA's, stereo vision, lensometry, pupil testing, ocular motilities, IOP's and dilation. Assist doctor in minor procedures. Responsible for maintaining a steady patient flow for the doctor. Performs diagnostic testing- OCT/fundus photos, Visual Fields, pachymetry, etc.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
3-5 years of experience. Ability to work well with patients. Excellent written and verbal communications skills. Bilingual English and Spanish preferred. High School diploma or equivalent.WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL/MENTAL ABILITIES AND PROCESS
