About the Role We're looking for a smart, personable, and coachable person who is excited to combine the technical science of optics with the human side of patient care. As an Optician, you're the link between the doctor, the patient, and their final eyewear solution . You'll interpret prescriptions and doctor recommendations, determine appropriate frames and lens designs, take precise measurements, ensure proper fit, and guide patients through the process from recommendation to pickup. This is a patient-care role first . All team members are cross-trained, so you'll also learn and support our broader practice, including patient testing, and specialty services such as dry eye and myopia management . What You'll Do Interpret prescriptions and doctor recommendations to determine appropriate optical solutions. Take accurate measurements, perform adjustments, and ensure proper optical fit. Educate patients on frames, lenses, and options based on their prescription, lifestyle, and needs. Act as the liaison between doctor and patient to ensure a smooth, accurate experience. Communicate technical information in a way patients can easily understand. Build relationships and deliver an exceptional patient experience. Cross-train and step in to support other practice services as needed. We're Looking For Someone Who Loves working with people and has strong customer-service and communication skills. Is curious, analytical, and comfortable learning science, math, prescriptions, and technical terminology . Is detail-oriented, organized, and able to problem-solve. Is coachable, adaptable, and willing to learn beyond their primary role. Has a genuine interest in helping patients see better, look better, and feel better. No optical experience? No problem. We can teach you optics. We're looking for someone with the right people skills, work ethic, curiosity, and capacity to learn.

Pay:

$18.00 - $24.00 per hour
