We are looking for a skilled and patient-focused Optician / Optical Sales Associate to join our team. In this role, you will help patients select, fit, and adjust corrective eyewear while providing an exceptional experience from prescription to final product. You'll be the bridge between the clinical team and the patient, translating prescriptions into perfectly fitting glasses. This is a full time in person position with an expected weekly schedule of 40 hours Monday - Friday.

Key Responsibilities Interpret optical prescriptions from optometrists Assist patients in selecting frames and lenses that suit their lifestyle, vision needs, and budget Take precise measurements (pupillary distance, segment height, vertex distance, etc.) Fit, adjust, and repair eyeglasses and frames Verify finished eyewear against prescriptions using a lensometer and other instruments Process orders with optical labs and follow up on delivery timelines Maintain accurate patient records and insurance documentation Educate patients on lens options, coatings, and UV protection Ensure the displays are organized, well-stocked, and visually appealing Maintain and track inventory Stay up-to-date on eyewear trends Comply with HIPAA regulations and office privacy policies Qualifications/Competencies 3-4 years of experience working in retail sales Excellent communication and customer service skills Attention to detail and accuracy Experience in a professional healthcare office setting We'd be extremely interested if the following apply to you: Experience in eyewear sales and managing inventory State licensure or American Board of Opticianry certification Proficiency with optical equipment including lensometers and fitting tools Strong knowledge of lens materials, coatings, and frame styles Experience with optical practice management software Bilingual English/Spanish
