The Optical Centre is a small, independent optometry practice in Longmont dedicated to building genuine relationships with our patients. We prioritize quality personalized care over high-volume sales metrics, making sure each individual feels truly special. We are looking for a dynamic, experienced cross-trained professional who thrives utilizing their skills across multiple areas of our practice—from the optical floor to the front desk and pre-testing. If you take pride in keeping a clinic running smoothly and love connecting with people, you will fit right in!
What We're Looking For:
Experience:
At least 1-2 years of optical or ophthalmic tech experience is required. Bring your solid foundation, and we will happily cross-train you on the rest!
Smart & Detail-Oriented:
You pick up new systems quickly, understand the nuances of vision and medical insurance, and rarely let details slip through the cracks.
Reliable & Adaptable:
You are a dependable team player who seamlessly shifts gears between frame styling, answering phones, and working up a patient for the doctor.
Warm & Engaging:
You have a welcoming personality that puts patients at ease and makes them feel appreciated the moment they walk through the door.
Your Responsibilities:
Optician Duties:
Educating patients on premium lens options, assisting with frame styling and selection, dispensing, troubleshooting, and adjustments.
Technician Duties:
Guiding patients through pre-testing, operating diagnostic equipment, and preparing them efficiently for the doctor.
Front Desk & Administration:
Scheduling appointments, warmly checking patients in and out, and verifying insurance details.
