Job Description

Our practice is looking to add a new team member to our expanding practice. The open position is for our front desk receptionist. The ideal candidate would be familiar with checking patients in / out of our practice, pulling insurance authorizations, submitting insurance billing / claims. Reception needs to be able to multitask with answering phones, ordering contact lens trials and trouble shooting patient questions / triaging. This position also schedules appointments and the selected candidate will need to be able to appropriately explain fees and services to patients. Current electronic health records / practice management system: Officemate / Examwriter. If candidate is not familiar with this platform, they need to have the capability to learn a new system in a short amount of time. We pride ourselves in our welcoming atmosphere and seek candidates who want to provide the same. Experience with insurances / billing is desired, but willingness to learn and ability to do so quickly is key. We are willing to train skills needed for the right candidate. As a growing practice, our daily needs fluctuate. A well-matched candidate should be a self-starter who is flexible and easily able to accommodate changes in the schedule and/or needs of the practice. All other roles will be provided education and support as needed. Local population includes English, Polish and Spanish speaking patients. Office has new technology and a smaller staff which is very welcoming.
