In this role, you'll deliver outstanding customer experiences by helping patients find the perfect eyewear through meaningful, consultative conversations. We're seeking an energetic and motivated Optician with a passion for style, service, and eye care. The ideal candidate brings previous experience in an optical or retail setting and thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Pay depends on experience. Responsibilities Drive optical sales to achieve and maintain a practice capture rate of 60% or higher through effective patient education and consultation Provide honest but compassionate feedback about aesthetic choices in frames Achieve sales goals and quotas as determined by practice owner Input orders (EMR, Insurance & Vendor) and then manage orders through dispensing. Review Physician's prescriptions and orders based on medical charts Perform precise frame adjustments, custom fittings, and alignment to ensure optimal comfort and visual acuity. Troubleshoot patient vision complaints, frame fit issues, and lens distortion problems to deliver prompt solutions. Operate manual lensometer and other tools to achieve proper fittings for patients Manage inventory of frames and contact lenses to ensure we fully stocked with a variety of product styles Clean, organize, and reset displays so patients can easily find their frame of choice. Communicate with physicians questions or concerns patients may have about eye-health issues. Qualifications High School graduate or equivalent. Proven salesmanship and ability to effectively recommend optical products Strong technical proficiency in fitting, shaping, and adjusting a wide variety of frame materials. Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot prescription and optical fit concerns with patience and precision. Strong communication skills (verbal and written), including strong interpersonal skills. Organized and task oriented. Excellent problem-solving skills Ability to adjust priorities and manage time wisely in a fast-paced environment.
