BJ's Wholesale Club is seeking a dedicated part-time Licensed Optician for our club on the East Coast and in Ohio. As a valued member of our team, the Licensed Optician will aid in fulfilling BJ's commitment to provide exceptional customer service and healthcare products to our members. In this role, the optician is responsible for fitting glasses and contact lenses, as prescribed by ophthalmologists and optometrists, and assisting customers in selecting frames according to style and color, while providing members with insight on lens options, features, and maintenance. Responsibilities Interpret optical prescriptions written by optometrists or ophthalmologists. Assist customers in selecting frames that suit their aesthetic preferences and practical needs. Collect precise measurements to ensure proper fitting and comfort of eyewear. Educate customers about eyewear care, features of various lens types, and the benefits of different lens coatings. Handle the ordering, fitting, and dispensing of eyeglasses and contact lenses. Maintain accurate customer records and manage inventory. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations regarding eyewear products.
