Job Description

The Optometrists of the North Shore is seeking a full time Optician/Optometric Assistant. We are a well established, private practice with 2 locations in Northbrook, IL and Lake Forest, IL. We pride ourselves in our family atmosphere and low turnover rate. We are seeking to add people who can become an integral part of our work family! We relocated our Northbrook office after 40 years to a larger, upscale 3600 sq ft building so we can continue to provide the highest level of vision care, the latest technology and a vast collection of eyewear. By using state-of-the-art instrumentation and a personalized approach, we commit to every patient feeling comfortable and confident with our care. We are seeking highly motivated individuals with a strong work ethic and friendly personality. At least 1-2 years of previous experience is required. Some responsibilities include, but are not limited to, pre-testing patients prior to examination, assisting patients with frame selection and lens options, taking eyeglass measurements, performing contact lens trainings, and communicating with doctors, staff and patients. Scheduled hours vary but must be willing to work evenings and/or Saturdays (8am-2pm).
