Position Overview We are seeking a friendly, knowledgeable, and customer•focused Optician to join our team. The ideal candidate is passionate about helping patients achieve their best vision while providing outstanding customer service. The Optician will assist patients in selecting eyewear, perform frame fittings and adjustments, interpret prescriptions, and ensure an exceptional patient experience from start to finish.
Responsibilities Include:
Assist patients in selecting eyeglass frames, lenses, and lens treatments based on their prescription, lifestyle, and preferences. Interpret and accurately fill eyeglass prescriptions. Take precise optical measurements, including pupillary distance (PD), segment height, and fitting measurements. Adjust, repair, and dispense eyewear for optimal comfort and vision. Educate patients on lens options, coatings, and proper eyewear care. Verify the accuracy of completed eyewear before dispensing. Process orders and communicate with optical laboratories regarding prescriptions and product status. Maintain accurate patient records and inventory. Assist with insurance verification and explain vision benefits when needed. Keep the optical dispensary clean, organized, and well-stocked. Collaborate with optometrists, ophthalmologists, and team members to provide exceptional patient care. Schedule Monday•
