We are customer-centric, creative, engaging and our goal is to be a safe space for patients, educating them about their eye health and giving them the best care they've ever experienced from any eye care facility. Duties - Optician "Clinical Optical Concierge" This multifaceted role combines optical expertise, patient care, clinical scribing, and front-desk support to provide an exceptional patient experience.

Responsibilities include:

Assist patients in selecting and fitting eyeglasses and contact lenses. Take precise measurements, including segment heights and pupillary distances. Guide patients in choosing frames that complement both their style and prescription. Adjust frames for comfort and proper fit. Educate patients on proper eyewear care and maintenance. Process orders for eyeglasses and contact lenses. File insurance claims for orders and encounters. Perform basic repairs and adjustments on eyewear. Maintain organized and fully stocked inventory of eyewear and contact lenses. Keep the optical area clean, organized, and professional. Operate optical equipment during the pretesting portion of exams. Accurately scribe for the doctor during patient exams. Collect thorough patient medical histories and document exams. Answer phones promptly with friendly, high-level customer service. Support practice marketing and social media efforts. Perform dry eye testing and treatments. Educate patients on dry eye disease and Meibomian Gland Dysfunction (MGD).

Requirements:

Previous experience as an optician or in a similar role (preferred) Familiarity with handling customers of varying ages and demographics Proficiency in retail math for pricing and discounts Experience using RevolutionEHR (preferred) Understanding of medical billing processes related to vision care (preferred) Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Excellent communication and customer service skills
