  • $23 per hour (depending on experience) We are an established private practice in the heart of Downtown Lawrence specializing in medical eye health for all ages with an immediate full-time opportunity.
We have a fun, cohesive and effective team that works well together. We are seeking a patient and empathetic person to join our office as an Optician, Eyewear Stylist/Salesperson. This opportunity provides a work environment that is dynamic and exciting! You'll have the chance to work with folks from all walks of life, make meaningful differences for patients whose quality of life has been affected by declining vision, and have fun helping those especially enjoyable patients find their perfectly unique eyeglass frame. Priority will be given to applicants with a strong customer service background. We highly encourage those who have been in retail, sales, etc. to apply! No previous optical experience is required and training is paid! There is potential for this to trun into a management position so those with leadership experience will be prioritized.

  • An effective verbal communicator In this role, your responsibilities would include (but won't necessarily be limited to):
  • Fitting eyeglasses on patients taking into consideration their visual needs, fashion preferences and budgets
  • Adjusting and repairing eyewear (using small tools)
  • Entering eyewear orders into our computer system
  • Building relationships with and educating patients
  • Explaining vision insurance benefits to patients
  • Troubleshooting eyewear complaints/concerns and solving problems
  • Providing exceptional customer service to exceed the expectations of our patients Hours may include: Monday through Friday (Ranging between 7:15am
  • 6:00pm depending on day of the week)
