Your expertise will help customers select the perfect frames, ensure precise fittings, and provide exceptional service that enhances their vision and confidence. Duties Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting eyewear frames that suit their style, face shape, and prescription needs Conduct accurate eyewear fittings, including adjustments to ensure optimal comfort and fit Dispense spectacle lenses, explain lens options, and educate customers on proper eyewear care Operate optical laboratory equipment for frame adjustments and repairs with precision. Maintain detailed medical records and ensure compliance with HIPAA and clinical confidentiality policies Stay informed on current health regulation policies, state healthcare regulations, and medical terminology relevant to optical care Recommended but not required to apply Prior retail sales experience, preferably within an optical or healthcare setting Knowledge of ophthalmology, optics, anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology Experience with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or other electronic medical record platforms Familiarity with spectacle lens dispensing, eyewear fittings, and optical laboratory procedures Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and empathetically Ability to perform basic math calculations for retail transactions and measurements Understanding of HIPAA regulations, clinical confidentiality policies, and health regulation policies.
