In this vital role, you will assist the optometrist with patient care, optical measurements, contact lens training and ordering and some administrative tasks. Your proactive approach will ensure smooth clinic operations while providing outstanding customer service to diverse patient populations. The position will include training. Afternoons Tuesday-Friday and Saturday mornings. Duties Greet patients warmly, verify their optical appointments, and assist with check-in and optical billing using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) Assist with spectacle lens dispensing, eyewear fittings, frame adjustments, and ensuring proper eyewear selection based on patient needs. Manage contact lens trainings and ordering Support ophthalmic procedures by preparing equipment for testing if needed Assist with optical and ensure quality control for spectacle lenses. Operate POS systems for retail sales of eyewear products while providing excellent customer service and retail management support. Maintain accurate optical records, process optical billing codes, and ensure compliance with health regulation policies. Skills Excellent customer service skills combined with retail sales experience. Ability to learn POS systems efficiently while managing retail math accurately. Basic math skills necessary for measurements, billing calculations, and inventory management. experience with spectacle lens dispensing, eyewear fittings, frame adjustments, and optical laboratory tasks a plus. Proficient computer skills necessary for use of EHR programs, communications and vision plans.
